Touring – $119.88
Our original saddle. Inspired by the “morning routine”. The Touring remains a great saddle for upright bikes and a popular choice for the Men in Blue. Several police departments around the country use the ISM Touring saddle. After all, these folks are spending an average of 25 hours a week in the saddle – it better be comfy! Great for use with padded bike shorts, or regular everyday clothing. Like all ISM saddles, the Touring is nose-less and designed to remove pressure from soft tissue, ensuring maximum blood flow, no genital numbness, and a healthier, more enjoyable ride.

Customer Reviews of The Touring Saddle
Bought this to replace a Spongy Wonder (sorry Jeff) and once I'd worked out that I needed to adjust it to tilt downward a few degrees. I found it to be very comfortable indeed.
Pros: comfortable, adjustable
This saddle takes a little bit of getting used but it’s easy to it and once you’re used to it , it’s really comfortable. I cycle about an hour a day to get to and from work and it’s really
comfortable, definitely recommend it.
I had been away from road bikes due to a chronic illness, but when I found out about this saddle, I was able to get back on the road for the first time in about 20 years. At first, I was worried about the appearance, etc., but when I tried using it, I was surprised and regretted that I didn't know about it sooner. Anyway, it's the best. Now I use it for other things such as mountain biking as well.
Pros: comfort, durability
Cons: bulky
I use it on the road. It's perfect for someone like me who rides alone and takes it easy. My groin doesn't hurt at all. I would be lying if I said my butt doesn't hurt, but compared to a road saddle, the level of pain is different. At first, I sometimes felt unstable due to the free feeling in the front of my groin, but once I found a position that was comfortable for riding, the instability disappeared. No more worries about long rides due to saddle pain.
Pros: comfort
Cons: bad appearance
There are some daft reviews on here, which I take to be from people who have not set up the saddle properly or given it a chance. Of course this takes a bit of getting used to when you are used to a 'conventional' saddle, as with anything in life you change. On first use it feels odd because there is no central front bit between your thighs which you previously naturally used to stabilise the bike. You just have to get used to it, then it's fantastic. I have used this saddle type for over 3 years doing maybe 2-3000 miles a year. My only complaint is that the seams are finally splitting, letting in water in the rain so I will need to get a new one! For those that think it bulky there is a scaled down version of the Touring called the Sport. Oh, and it gets irritating when people point to it and say 'What's that?'. I always reply 'It's my man-friendly saddle.'
Pros: adjustable, comfortable, good fit, lightweight
Cons: bulky, expensive, hasn't worn as well for the price
Love this saddle - do not get any numbness. Bought as I suffered from fistulas and abscesses and it does not cause any pain or pressure. Reading some of the other reviews I think people are sitting on it wrong or it doesn't suit smaller people - it does not go between your legs you perch on the saddle with your sit bones. Used for commuting as well as triathlons and road training.
Pros: durable, comfortable, good fit
Cons: expensive
This saddle solved all the problems I had with saddles. It's really comfortable, even after riding 100km.
Pros: good value, comfort, good fit
Standard saddles with narrow noses end up being very traumatic for the perineum and the urinary system, after thousands of kilometers and years, to the point of almost completely blocking it. The ISM Touring saddle provides a solution. The pressure on the perineal region is greatly reduced, allowing the urinary system to slowly recover. The trade-offs are increased pressure and pain in the ischial area, a more difficult lateral balance to find (it slides from side to side at first), greater weight on the arms with a risk of tendinitis in the clavicles or neck. But overall, for me, it's a significant relief and the possibility to continue cycling with a saddle, which otherwise would not have been possible or I would have had to switch to a recumbent bike.
Pros: removes the martyrdom of the perineum
Cons: lateral balance and pressure on the arms
I’ve suffered with the most painful lady parts for the last few months hoping regular rides would get me used to the saddle on my hybrid bike as I’m new to cycling. I’ve been in agony and had to leave a week between rides to allow my foo-foo to heal. This saddle arrived the day after ordering and was easy to fit. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not perfect, my sit bones know about the 10 miles I’ve just done but no rubbing where it shouldn’t. Great saddle for ladies with a fleshy foo-foo!
I have had the saddle for about 4 weeks. I swapped it on my watt bike as that saddle was leaving me numb in bad places. This saddle has solved the problem, so recommend. I have done about 450km with it.
Pros: high quality
Radical difference in support, confused by their repeated emphasis on moving back, found best fit by moving forward. Getting used to the new feel.
Pros: no more numbness
Cons: terrifying if set too far back
I bought this for someone that's had issues cycle having had prostate surgery and some mechanical equip added. He's had a brief test and says this saddles seems to be ok. Personally delighted, really good to see such thoughtful technology out there and selling on wiggle. Hoping to hear more good reports from the user.
I was getting painful sit bones after riding my eMTB which was making the ride less than pleasant - especially on bumpy sections. I was also starting to get unpleasant sensations due to perineal pressure. After taking this saddle out for a 20-mile ride with a mix of road and off-road sections I had no pain or other sensations - hooray! It does feel a little strange at first as the saddle doesn't come out very far between my legs and you then realise how much you use that to feel the bike. But, hey - that's a small issue that I'm happy to get used to. I'd highly recommend this to anyone who is having painful sit bones or other perineal related sensations.
Love that now I can sit on my saddle many hours. It’s the best saddle I have ever tried.
Bought this saddle after having problems with my perineal area as doctor advised me to stop cycling. This saddle is absolutely wonderful as I no longer have any problem. The saddle does take a bit of getting used to and you don’t have the same control as a conventional saddle but it doesn’t take long to adjust to it. I think it's a wonderful saddle.
Pros: very comfortable
Cons: lack of control
After initial skepticism, when it was delivered and the actual size of the saddle (it looked like it was made for children), the skepticism quickly disappeared. I now ride 50 km in a row and no longer have any pain or symptoms of numbness. Great saddle. I'm thrilled. I didn't need to get used to it. I was happy with it from the start.
Nice product, highly recommended for commuting and to eliminate numbness.
Does what is says on the tin, I did the research took my time fitting it and got it in the right position first time, very comfortable on first ride and it's not even broken in yet, if you ride a lot its a must, get one before you have to get one.
I needed a saddle which reduced the pressure on my perineal area and thought that the ISM Touring saddle would fit the bill. It arrived quickly, was easy to fit and is the correct solution for me.
Pros: works for women too
I was the unfortunate subject of Dr. Irwin Goldstein et al.’s 1999 The Journal of Urology article “Pudendal Nerve Injury Associated With Avid Bicycling.” As cyclists might recall Dr. Goldstein was the high-profile bane of our community for arguing that no man should ride a bike. Ouch!
My symptoms were extreme penile numbness, at one point 100%, and chronic prostate inflammation. A recumbent failed to solve my problem. I was told I should never ride again. I immediately stopped cycling, eventually regaining most of my sensation and luckily saving myself from erectile dysfunction. Then about 5 years ago, I heard about the ISM saddles, looked at the research, and read the positive reviews from urologists and others.
Cautiously I decided to try it out. Due to my fear of past problems returning and some unrelated injuries it took me a while to really put the saddle to test. I have now done so, riding about 1200 miles in the past 5 five months and just completing a century ride (it took me a while to get my legs back).
The verdict is a resounding thumbs up. I have absolutely 0 negative effects from using the ISM saddle (I ride the touring model). I have gone from 20+ years trying to accept that I would never ride again to looking forward every day to my next ride. I am thrilled with being able to get my bicycling life back.
Thank you, ISM.
This saddle takes some getting used to (you need to play with saddle height, fore/aft and tilt angle, then you need allow for a period of time to acclimate to the new feel of sitting on your sit bones rather than the soft tissue) but once it's set up correctly, it's a DREAM. Previously I would go for a 2 hour ride and be fully numb in my gentleman area - now I can ride for as long as I want. You just need to have PATIENCE setting it up. Then it's great. 100% recommend. You should watch the videos explaining why this is a healthier saddle to use also.
Pros: good fit, comfortable
Well bought this product, and it took about 4 or 5 rides to get used and do some muscle conditions. This product is exactly as described, if you do buy, don't expect results on the first ride however but bear with it!! Comfortable now and no pressure apart from the sit bones.
Pros: comfortable, adjustable
