My new favourite saddle
I am not new to ISM saddles, I have ridden on an attack for the last 18 months which is slightly longer, flatter and more padded than this version.
The PS1.0 seemed like the ideal alternative as I wanted a saddle that was designed for aggressive riding positions. It was relatively simple to get set up, after a couple of tweaks it was spot on, if you are new to ISM I strongly recommend you take a look at the ISM fitting guide here: http://www.ismseat.com/setup-guide/ as they require a different setup to any saddle you will have ridden before. It is well worth looking through the guide as when you get it right you will be in for a treat with zero discomfort for even the longest of rides.
The one slight niggle I had with my previous ISM was that the front of the saddle was quite wide and although it wasn't an issue comfort wise I always knew it was there, the PS1.0 fits my body much better and feels like I am riding a 'normal' saddle but with all the benefits you get from ISM's split nose design. The slightly firmer level 15 padding that ISM have added to the PS1.0 is a great addition and for me has made the saddle even more comfortable than before, it feels like a more solid base to help put the power down better. I am using it as my every day road saddle now and although designed for racing and TT's it has been perfect on the commute too.
This saddle is about as good as it gets as far as I am concerned, the different appearance may split opinions but it is well worth seeing past this, especially if you experience discomfort or numbness with a normal saddle. I am now fully converted to using ISM saddles, no more pain and discomfort makes it so much easier to enjoy the ride which for most of us is why we ride bikes in the first place.
Pros: Comfortable, Durable, High Quality
